Yellowstone: Is Luke Grimes Leaving?

Each new season of Yellowstone brings with it the usual mixture of drama and suspense with new people arriving and others departing the neo-western. Now fans are suspecting that Luke Grimes could be on his way out.

Ever since season 4 wrapped, there has been a fair share of speculation and assurances that season 5 would bring with it some sparks. It’s been assumed that those sparks would be of the romantic kind but, if fan speculation is righty, season 5 might bring with is some loss in the Dutton family. Continue reading and we’ll discuss.

Yellowstone – Kayce Dutton Brushes With Death – A Lot

Yellowstone fans know that Luke Grimes’ character, Kayce Dutton, is no stranger to brushes with death. In fact, he nearly bit it in the pilot episode for the popular drama but instead lost his brother, played by Dave Annable. Then, of course, as every Yellowstone fan will recall, there were the attempted hits on several members of the Dutton family at the end of season 3, including Kayce Dutton.

In Season 4, Episode 9, Kayce went through a Native American ritual that supposedly gave him a new lease on life. After the ritual Kayce told Monica that he had a vision that included “the end of us.” While some fans interpreted his statement to mean the end of his marriage to Monica, others believe the vision was far more foreboding.

Yellowstone – Luke Grimes Love Of Music Could Spell The End For Kayce Dutton

It appears that a new career choice for Grimes, could spell the end for Kayce Dutton and speculation is swirling over it. Earlier this year Luke Grimes announced his intention to pursue a career in the country music industry and a musician and some believe that it could foreshadow a more permanent change for the actor and the character he portrays.

On Reddit, some fans have discussed the very real possibility that Lukes’ love of music, may spell the end for his love of Yellowstone and the end for Kayce Dutton. One Redditor wrote, “I feel like [Kayce] is going to get killed off bc I’m wondering how long Luke Grimes is going to stay in the acting game.”

Another user concurred, writing, “This! When I heard he was planning to launch a music career I wondered if S4 was him being phased out of the show.” Unfortunately, since Grimes isn’t giving up any information, fans will have to wait for season 5 to come out.
