Kyle has seemed to have some problems with commitment and knowing his own heart when it comes to the women he’s been involved with. One thing that has never made a lot of sense to viewers of The Young and The Restless is how he could go so quickly from being so deeply in love with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) to quickly flip flopping back to Summer Newman (Hunter King)!

On top of that, once he was back with Summer again he said he realized that it was Summer he had been in love with all along! And then there was the affair with the much older Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) that produced his son Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez); if Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was to psychoanalyze Kyle, she’d say he has some serious mommy and trust issues!

Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Mourned His Mother And Resented His Father

Kyle mourned his mother Diane but also blamed his father Jack for dumping him on his grandparents to raise, and even conspired with a professional enemy of Jack’s against him at one point! Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that being dumped with his grandparents really isn’t such a good reason to take things out on his father in that way. But what if Kyle knew that his mother had faked her death all that time and she continued to raise him when everyone else thought she was dead?

After all, she had sent him to school in Switzerland and had planned to join him there if she hadn’t been “murdered” and now viewers know that she faked her death! It turned out that Diane had been the mystery texter who lured Jack to Los Angeles to discover that his other son Keemo Volien (Philip Moon) had died and left him a granddaughter, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang)!

Viewers of The Young and The Restless no doubt have heard the saying that boys want to marry women who remind them of their mothers, but that adage would certainly be skewed with a mom like Diane! Kyle’s view of women would be undoubtedly skewed as well, with him never really having a good example; and it’s understandable to viewers of The Young and The Restless why he has trust issues! Kyle had a front row seat to most of what his mother did to Jack, and no one can doubt that dangerous Diane is more than a few fried short of a happy meal! That would be downright scary for a boy growing up, and Kyle’s trust issues could explain why he flips and flops between women, not giving them a chance to hurt him!
