Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Rafe’s Not Impressed – Jack Hires Eli As The New Police Commissioner

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will soon have something big to celebrate. He has been dutifully performing his responsibilities as a detective at the Salem PD for years, and he quite enjoyed his job under police commissioner Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). But as DOOL viewers know, things have taken a dark turn recently, as Eve Deveraux (Kassie DePaiva) was appointed as the new commissioner.

Eli certainly hasn’t been happy about who the commissioner is or what she’s done in recent weeks since assuming her position, but he’s stayed with the department and done the best he could given the circumstances. And it seems that his perseverance will soon pay off, as he’s offered a new position!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Jack Fires Eve & Needs A New Commissioner

Here’s how it’s going to go down. As DOOL viewers know, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Eve have been at odds over the serum that Jack wanted to take to regain his memories. Eve didn’t want Jack to `take the serum, so she thwarted his efforts by replacing the serum with sugar water. That led to a huge blow-up between Jack and Eve, and ultimately Jack demanded a divorce.

But according to DOOL spoilers, things will get even more contentious between Jack and Eve, and Eve will end up destroying any hope that Jack has of having the serum created ever again. This will involve some police activities that Jack doesn’t approve of, and he’ll promptly fire Eve! That will lead to the need for a new police commissioner, and Jack will have the perfect person in mind.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Jack Wants Eli As The Top Cop

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Jack will quickly identify Eli as the person he wants to take top cop position over from Eve. Of course, given that Jack will want a non-controversial person who has a great track record as a cop, Eli will be his choice! It looks like Eli will need some time to think over his decision – after all, he hasn’t been too happy with the Deveraux administration and may not want to work directly for Jack, but DOOL spoilers say that he’ll ultimately accept the position!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Rafe Isn’t So Happy About Being Passed Over

That means that Eli will become boss to both Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). While Lani will be as proud as she can be of her new fiancé, it looks like the idea of Eli being the new commish will take a bit of getting used to for Rafe. He may think that he should have been offered the position, but it looks like he’ll get over it soon enough.

It will be interesting to see how things turn around now that Eve is no longer running the Salem PD and someone with some scruples and actual police experience takes over! Certainly, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) won’t have an easy time skirting the law, as he did while Eve was commissioner! Are you looking forward to seeing Eli in action as the new commish?
