Bold and the Beautiful News: Jacob Young Lands Another New Job!

Jacob Young, who’s best known for his roles in daytime dramas, landed another gig in Lifetime. He has been cast as Mark on an upcoming movie titled “The Road Home For Christmas.”

He will be working with Marla Sokoloff, Marie Osmond Jan Broberg, and Rob Mayes. The film, which is directed by Peter Sullivan, produced by Brian Nolan, and edited by Randy Carer, revolves around two rival musicians who go on a road trip together on Christmas Eve. Lindsay and Wes perform in a dueling piano show. However, they find themselves without work on Christmas Eve, forcing the pair to venture to their neighboring hometowns together.

Bold And The Beautiful – A Great Actor and Soap Veteran

The American actor and singer appeared on “All My Children” as JR Chandler, Rick Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful,’ and as Lucky Spencer on “General Hospital.” During his stint in “Bold and the Beautiful,” between 1997 and 1999, Young earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination as Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. In 2001, he was named as the “Sexiest Soap Star” by People Magazine and won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Lucky Spencer on “General Hospital,” in 2002.

From 2003 to 2011, he was on “All My Children” where he got nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2005. In 2009, he received another nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for the same role. He returned to “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2011. Seven years later, in 2018, he announced that he dropped to the recurring role, which he considers as a blessing.

Bold And The Beautiful – Pursuing His Other Passions

He tweeted, “I want to take a moment to address the rumors that I’m currently off contract. All true, I’m recurring and just starting to shoot a movie for Lifetime. I have been under contract for 21 years and this to me is a blessing. I can now have the time to pursue all my passions. Xo” Young is still keeping himself busy. Apart from his new movie, he’s also busy working on his next album and spending more time with his family.
