For the past few years, Brady Black has made some bad choices. At first, it was due to his impulsivity, as well as his addiction to drugs and alcohol. Even though the DOOL character is now sober, he still tends to make rash decisions and doesn’t think things through.

His plan for Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) to seduce Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is just one example. Another is his manipulative move to get closer to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), which failed once she realized the truth.

DOOL Spoilers – Sober, But Addictive Behaviors Remain

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Brady remains sober. However, Eric Martsolf told Michael Fairmain on the Inside Salem podcast that his character is still impulsive. Even though he has abstained from drugs and alcohol, his addictive behaviors are still very much a part of him.

“He acts out of impulse too much, which addicts tend to do… they don’t think it through. They kind of act first, then think about it later and he does that a lot… he’s not the most rational guy.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Brady Black’s Goals

As far as his goals in business, love and life in general, Eric Martsolf shared his thoughts on the subject.

“I think contentment [is Brady’s goal], to finally get it right. And maybe he will one day, but in the meantime, it’s a lot of fun watching him watching him stumble along the way.”

This might explain why Brady keeps trying to go after the same relationships he’s had before. Why he keeps trying to run Titan correctly, in a way that would make Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) proud. Why is he going after Kristen DiMera so hard and trying to dig the truth out of her.
