The Bold and the Beautiful fans are absolutely thrilled to see fan favorite Gilles Marini back on the small screen. In fact, the soap opera star himself said that he’s never felt more thrilled than now about returning to the hit soap drama.
The last time Gilles was on the Bold and the Beautiful was back in 2007, when he played a small yet unforgettable role. Now Gilles says he feels incredibly lucky to return to the set that he first worked on ten years ago. He’s now set to play a doctor in an upcoming storyline from Monaco.
He told Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “I felt so happy to have worked on the show 10-something years ago. I work my butt off in Hollywood to make something happen and then come full circle and come back to the place that gave me a chance when it was my first job. Those are the most meaningful jobs.”
Gilles, who also appeared on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars back in 2009, has also worked on several different television shows including Brothers & Sisters, Devious Maids and Switched at Birth. But Gilles says there’s nothing that excites him more than daytime drama.
He explained, “Maybe sometimes the soaps may not understand what they bring to an enormous population of this world,” Marini admitted. “I’m serious when I say that a lot of people have hard lives and it’s an escape just to sit down and watch this unfold and feel like they’re part of a family. It makes their day easier. So I’m very appreciative that they bring happiness to millions and millions of people through their drama.”
