The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has positioned herself at the center of a fierce brother battle. Situated between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) by choice and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) through personal history and their daughter, Phyllis has a unique perspective.

She recently chose to withhold information from Nick that would have likely helped him and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to expose Adam before he learned about his father’s faked death. Her business ties to Adam and seeming replacement of him at the penthouse throws shade on a reputation Phyllis wanted to improve in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Well-played scenes between Braeden and Grossman at the Ranch setting established a modest truce between their characters. While peace hasn’t been reached, at least Victor and Adam talked with each other.

The emotion Grossman emitted was outstanding. His edition of Adam is coming down from the fiery darkness that’s been exhibited since this character’s memory was restored through Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) missed shot at the tack house.

Braeden’s great work allowed Victor to offer sincere fatherly guidance, along with a heavy dose of heartfelt admissions of guilt and wrong-doing. The longtime Y&R lead male actor evoked memories of his efforts with the late George Kennedy (Albert Miller), with Victor taking the high road, as contrasted to Albert’s cold dismissal of his son.

An ending image of Adam playing poker back in Las Vegas, Nevada, means that Victor let his troubled son take a respite from GC, rather than sending him off in exile.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman’s Fury Gives Mother Opportunity

Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) rightful fury about being left out of the death ruse gives Phyllis an opportunity to bond with her estranged daughter. The coming period of conflict could be a gift for Phyllis, who’s been trying to reestablish a mother-daughter bond.

It seemed as though these ladies reached their own accord months ago when they decided to not allow Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to come between them. But that truce proved temporary.

Phyllis will hope to prove that Summer can count on her as yet another Newman family scheme is exposed.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Is Troubled

Nick quickly forgave Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) upon her return to town this summer after leaving without a legitimate explanation early last year. But now, after Chick’s seeming revival just weeks old, he’s betrayed her trust.

Allowing Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to believe that his grandfather died was coupled with Nick not trusting Chelsea. Nick can’t justify his actions and now looks worse than Adam, who announced that he was leaving town and then did.

It will be interesting to see how, or if, Nick interacts with Phyllis in coming days, as he also wronged their daughter by not telling Summer about Victor’s plot. Yes, being a Newman remains as complicated as ever as the first full week of fall arrives in the Midwest.
