General Hospital Star Maurice Benard Shares Sneak Peek Of New Movie

Maurice Benard fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. That’s because the General Hospital actor is pulling double duty on both the small screen and the big screen. Not only is he continuing to film General Hospital episodes in his role as Sonny, but he’s also portraying a new exciting character on the big screen.
According to reports, Maurice is hard at work on the set of his new motion picture, Equal Standard. He will be starring in the movie alongside rapper-turned-actor Ice-T. The movie is about a group of New York City police officers and how their lives collide in interweaving stories of race, rank, loss, and betrayal.
The film also stars Robert Clohessy, Fredro Starr, Tobias Truvillion, Anthony ‘Treach’ Criss, and more.The handsome actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself in uniform on his Instagram account.
He told Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “Always great to play different characters. In New York playing a police captain. Very cool and interesting script.” Seeing how he is sharing plenty of screens with Ice-T, there’s no doubt that this is going to be one exciting and action packed movie.
In addition to General Hospital, he’s also recently completed work on the upcoming film Nightmare Cinema. In the last few years he was also in Hold On, A Lover Betrayed, The Ghost and The Whale, Joy, Confession and the television series Castle.
