Rey’s hockey trip with Connor was adjusted to include Chelsea. She was with her son at the coffee house while Rey drove back home.

No news came of Rey’s whereabouts as they became concerned. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was hoping her husband was called to an emergency. Sorrowfully, the emergency involved Rey, whose car veered in front of Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) on the highway during a dark, foggy night on the outskirts of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

The crash did not kill Rey, as his partner in the GC Police Department learned. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) delivered the surprising news that Rey died of a heart attack, which caused the three-car wreck that included Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

Rey became a pillar of this midwestern city. He was a part of the neighborhood and was liked by everyone except Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), due to the Sharon rivalry, and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) because he is the Moustache.

Vilasuso’s character initially extended the backstory of Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela). He is Rey’s younger brother, who was the first Rosales to arrive in GC. Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) followed Rey, becoming an important character for a while.

The reason why Rey will be missed goes beyond his story line. He was the last member of his family, which also included his ex-wife and now, sister-in-law, Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), and Rey’s parents.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson In Trouble Again?

Chelsea had a major mental collapse in the recent past. That happened because Adam became delusional, wanting to topple Newman Enterprises when his family was inside.

Egan’s character discovered what Adam was planning, which led him to have Chelsea kidnapped, after which she suffered a stroke was paralyzed, and could not speak. Her path to recovery was sidetracked by a mental imbalance that included poisoning Rey as part of a revenge attack against Sharon and Adam.

Rey’s forgiveness and friendship made the difference in Chelsea pulling herself out of the abyss. But his sudden death may be triggering a repeat dissent on Y&R.
