Caribbean Summer stars Heather Hemmens (Roswell, New Mexico) and Ser’Darius Blain (Jumanji) in an exotic location. According to the official Hallmark synopsis, Jade (Hemmens), is a morning news producer. However, she is forced to take a vacation after she makes an embarrassing gaffe live on TV. She travels to a Caribbean island, where her vacation hits a speed bump, thanks to a rental scam involving the house she rented for her stay.

Luckily, Jade manages to turn things around and starts a romantic adventure with the real owner of the house she is staying in. He turns out to be a mysterious man named Ford (Blain). Meanwhile, Jade gradually lets her guard down and welcomes everything the island, its people and her handsome host have to offer her. However, her heart and her job come into direct conflict when she learns the true backstory of the man she is falling for. In fact, what she finds out is a career-defining scoop.

Will Jade use the information she has learned to boost her career? Or will she follow her heart and help Ford clear his name once and for all, so they can start a new chapter together?

About the cast

Heather Hemmens, who plays the role of Jade is best known for her role as Alice Verdura in The CW series Hellcats. She also stars in Roswell, New Mexico as Maria. Hemmens plays opposite Ser’Darius Blain as the mysterious Ford. He is known for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The Last Full Measure and The Big Leap.

According to the official IMDb page for the romantic comedy movie, another cast member is Buom Tihngang. The actor is known for Life, World on Fire and Karen Pirie. So far, no other cast members have been revealed.

The new Hallmark movie comes from Crown Media Productions, LLC with Stan Spry, Gaylyn Fraiche and Eric Woods executive producing. Meanwhile, Anthony Fankhauser is the line producer, while Steven R. Monroe directs from a script by Kelly Bowe and Arlene Gibbs.
