The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) has experienced deep pain in her life. The loss of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) did not prepare her for losing Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). But Sharon’s perspective about death and life is deep.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has provided solid support for his one-time wife and mother of two of his children during Sharon’s grieving period. Viewers noted that Morrow and Case were written into a series of nostalgic-feel scenes in the months before Rey’s death.
What felt like a foreshadowing came to pass with an outcome no fans were calling for. Vilasuso’s character was unfortunately killed off, rather than have Sharon and Rey drift away from each other or suffer a break.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Investment Does Not Pay Off
Rey’s death feels wrong for many reasons. Handling this character’s removal from the scene in this way eliminated a likable persona forever and scratched a fine actor from the cast.
Fans are asked to invest time and emotion in any soap opera. The audience understands that the rigors of the genre mean that cast turnover or change will occur, sometimes for what appears to be the sake of change.
The creation of the embraced Rosales family began with Arturo Rosales’ (Jason Canela) arrival before Rey. It continued with Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) move to GC and included other family members. But no remnants of the Rosales family are now on Y&R, other than dialogue references. Did that have to be?
Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Has Matured
Nick abandoned Sharon after Cassie’s death, eventually finding what he felt was consolation in Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) arms. They had a child, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), and married in the 2000s and 2010s.
Sharon was only married to Nick once (1995-2006). She has two of his children, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).
Nick is also raising his brother’s (Adam Newman, Mark Grossman) son, Christian Newman (Alex Wilson), as his own. Christian is the son Nick thought he and the late Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan), who was the last woman he was married to (2015-1016).
Morrow’s growth as a father and a man includes his heading of New Hope. So, the guy supporting Sharon today is vastly different than the impetuous character who coupled with Phyllis years ago.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Is Best For Sharon Rosales?
Sharon does not seem likely to rebound into a quick romance, especially if it is a return to Nick. But she has come to trust her one-time and arguable greatest love again.
Adam is not a romantic option. Grossman’s character is invested in Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), with that duo’s match being a fit.
With whatever Nick may eventually feel, the question will remain, what is best for Sharon? Nick may be a possible romantic partner or more than that. But it is too soon for her to know, as Rey’s presence is still too fresh.
