Not only does Jack literally walk away but Phyllis catches Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) laughing with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). As fans can imagine, Phyllis’ head explodes over the alleged “betrayal.”

Y&R spoilers reveal that Jack was happy when Phyllis suddenly wanted to move forward with their relationship. Fans know that Jack has been feeling incredibly lonely the past few months. Jack did find the timing of Phyllis’ bold move a bit coincidental. However, he went with it because he felt that Phyllis’ feelings were genuine.

To be clear, Phyllis does really love Jack. However, Jack now finds that hard to believe after hearing Phyllis confess to Diane. Jack feels that Phyllis just used him and not only does it ruin the romance but their friendship as well.

Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins’ Laughter

In Monday’s episode, Phyllis goes to Jack’s house and tries to smooth things over. Phyllis explains that Diane got under her skin, but her feelings are sincere. The mere mention of Diane’s name infuriates Jack, and he breaks up with Phyllis.

When Diane, Summer, and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) walk in, they are all laughing together. Of course, this angers Phyllis as she views Summer laughing with Diane as a “betrayal.”

However, Summer is caught in the middle. Just because Summer is talking and laughing with Diane doesn’t mean there is any trust. Summer is doing this to support Kyle. Summer might also figure the best way to find out the truth about Diane’s intentions is to play nice.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that when the trio interrupts Jack and Phyllis’ conversation, things get awkward. Jack says he has to make a phone call and leaves the room. With Phyllis standing in the living room, Kyle notes how Jack can’t make a call without his phone. That’s when Phyllis feels humiliated and what makes it worse is Diane is witnessing the whole thing.

After the awkward situation, Summer tries to talk to her mom at the Grand Phoenix. At first, Phyllis gives Summer the cold shoulder. Then, she spews that Summer needs to order Kyle to stay away from Diane. Of course, Summer can’t force Kyle to do anything. Summer’s job isn’t to order Kyle around, it’s to support him… whether she agrees with it or not.

Later, Summer asks to speak to Kyle alone, which prompts Diane to leave. Summer tells Kyle that Phyllis is headed for a massive breakdown. Summer adds that it’s because of Diane. However, it appears that “Skyle” aren’t necessarily blaming Diane for it. They are both trying to figure out if Diane has really changed or not.

Even though Diane is likely playing everyone, she’s winning. It appears that Phyllis will continue spiraling out of control. Not only does Phyllis lose her supporters, but Diane also scores points with Jack, Kyle, and Summer. Diane is even allowed to be a grandma to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). Is Phyllis overreacting or is she right about Diane?
