B&B spoilers reveal that fans were excited when Wood announced her third pregnancy. On May 24, 2022, Wood announced on Instagram that she had given birth. The only comment was, “and then there were three.” Attached to the post was a photo of MacInnes lying down with her three sons.

During an interview before the birth, Wood explained that she was working pretty much until her delivery date. The writers had to give Steffy a temporary exit so Wood could go on maternity leave.

Unable to move on after John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) death, Steffy went to Europe. While in Europe, Steffy will go through the grieving process while getting therapy. Steffy took her two children, Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) and Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) with her.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell told Soap Opera Digest that Wood was eager to work. That was a clue that Steffy might not be gone very long. That speculation has turned out to be true. Wood is supposed to return as Steffy on July 4, 2022… provided there are no more preemptions.

As a fan noted on Twitter, that would make this Wood’s shortest maternity leave out of all her three pregnancies.

Fans have been anxiously waiting for Steffy to find out that Finn is alive. It is teased that Finn and Steffy will have a joyful reunion. It is also stated that there will be lots of romance for “SINN” this summer. However, it will be bittersweet as Sheila is now responsible for Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) death.
