General Hospital spoilers reveal Valentin Cassadine continuing to turn on the charm wherever he goes, even if he is being a little extra and passive-aggressive about it. No matter what Valentin says or does, he always has that Valentin extra quality about him.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Most Evil Cassadine Of Them All? Hardly
Remember those days when Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) would talk about the horribly-feared Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), calling him the evilest Cassadine of them all. Even the horrific Helena was horrified of this man and General Hospital fans pictured a Faison-like character, but that’s not who we got.
First, we got a mustached man named Theo who ended up shooting Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and allegedly killing Nikolas Cassadine, but when he got to Port Charles, the mustache was gone and it was charm, charm, charm from that moment on. And we asked ourselves, THIS is the man Helena was once so scared of.
GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Arrives In Port Charles And Falls In Love
Valentin the manipulator? Valentin the criminal? Yes, and yes, we got all those. But we also got Valentin the man who fell for Nina Reeves (then played by Michelle Stafford) after a one-night stand. We got the Valentin who is an absolutely devoted father to Charlotte. We also got the Valentin who would spar with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and exhibit much more chemistry with her than Nina and that is how we have now arrived at the Valentin that is making fans swoon in every scene in 2022.

Thanks to James Patrick Stuart, Valentin Cassadine is anything but evil. We have seen him evolve from ruthless to vulnerable and he even feels the need to change — as much as he can anyway. We learned about his childhood with spina bifida that helped shape who he is and we also learned just as he learned that Helena was really his mother and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is his father. He would rather be involved with neither.
Right now, our charming, funny Valentin is up to something with Victor, but we suspect he is aligned with him against his will. Still, he will swagger around town in his sunglasses, cutting business deals, smiling at Anna while calling her ‘darling’ and making fans want him to call them ‘darling’ too.
He can smile at Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and gloat with her not knowing why, but he can also be a hero and we suspect he will be just that once again as we learn what is really going on with Victor. And all the while Valentin will just charm us all with his mere presence. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see what happens to Valentin next.
