British royal family news shows that being a member of the monarchy comes with a high profile job description. The cameras are always watching when a member of the royal family is in public, either attending a royal event or merely being an off duty private citizen.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been seen at this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament cheering on the athletes. Like any other fan, William has become engrossed in the high-stakes action and at one point was caught out doing something that has divided social media. What was his faux pas? Let’s unpack William’s seeming lack of royal composure!
Prince William Got Heated
It’s common to get lost in the heat of the moment while at a sporting event, and apparently William is no exception. The difference is that he is held to a higher standard, being the future king of England. Is this fair? It’s a rhetorical question because William can do nothing about his fate!
Can you believe that William was reportedly heard swearing? It went down at Wimbledon as Kate and Wills watched as the men’s singles quarter-final match was underway. Playing was British player Cameron Norrie and Belgian athlete David Goffin. According to Newsweek, Will dropped the F-bomb when Norrie lost a point.
Did Prince William Curse?
What’s going on here, should Prince William sue the outlet for slander, libel or worse? That won’t be necessary because, 1. It is his brother Harry who has the legal trigger finger, and, 2. Social media seems to back up William’s potty mouth!
According to InStyle, “In a clip shared on Twitter, royal-watchers are convinced that William is saying, “No, no, no f*** it.” Oh my.
A quick review of the comments shows that posters seem split between yays and nays where William’s cursing is concerned.

Prince William Said A Naughty Word?
One commenter summed up the understanding fans saying, “good to know he’s just a normal lad.” One the other hand dissenters posted comments like this: “no need for such language.”
The outlet notes that, “It’s not the first time that William’s decorum has come into question. Give me a break! Prince William swore? Must have been a slow day for news. If Meagan the Markle was accused of abusing her staff, which I’m sure is true, why don’t you find out what swear words she spat at her staff?
If that is the very worst he has ever done then the monarchy is very safe……good grief, who in this world has not said a nasty word or two…..
He may be. Prince, but he’s human too!! I think people forget that!! I’m sure he wouldn’t let his children hear him say it. I personally hate the word, but I’m not gonna think any less of him!! He’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders!! Give this precious man a break!!!!!
