Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that fans are panicking over the fate of the NBC soap. With everyone worrying about which soap could be next, let’s sit down and breathe for a moment. Thinking logically, here are some reasons why fans shouldn’t worry that GH, B&B or Y&R will be next off broadcast TV.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Peacock Chaos
NBC quietly announced on Wednesday, August 3 that sent fans into an uproar. As we previously reported, the decision was made to end the NBC soaps run on television. Beginning September 12, DOOL will only be available on the premium version of the Peacock streaming service.
There are a few reasons why this is so upsetting to fans. For one, not everyone wants to pay for the premium version of Peacock. Older viewers might not be interested in trying to navigate a new way to watch their favorite soap.
Plus, the soap is being replaced with yet another news program. This program isn’t just shoving DOOL off TV but will stream on Peacock at the same time. So, fans are predicting that this could be the beginning of the end.
NBC Too Quiet
DOOL spoilers reveal that the other concerning issue is that fans learned of the change through Vulture, not NBC. It seems that NBC tried to be discreet and secretive about this. Now that the news is out, fans are furious. There are a lot of questions, such as how fans in other countries will watch the soap since Peacock is not available.
What About GH, B&B and Y&R?
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that fans immediately started wondering about the other remaining three soaps on the air. Would General Hospital be next? Could The Young and the Restless or The Bold and the Beautiful be next?
Fans shouldn’t get ahead of themselves by worrying. Out of all the soaps, DOOL had the lowest viewership and ratings for many years. Sure, there were occasional spikes. However, the soap hasn’t done very well for quite a long time.
During the pandemic when the soaps were off the air, DOOL still had new episodes because of their advanced production schedule. Even though Days was the only one with new episodes, the viewership numbers were still at the very bottom. That says a lot.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Streaming is the Future
With so many people cutting the cord, streaming is the future. So, NBC might have just jumped the gun by trying to move everyone from broadcast and cable to streaming only. If NBC made this move five years from now, there might not have been such an uproar.
B&B, Y&R and GH are all watching and observing fans’ reactions. So, don’t expect the other three soaps to make a similar move. Will all the soaps eventually be streaming only? It certainly is possible. However, based on how DOOL fans are reacting to the Peacock controversy, there’s a good chance that ABC and CBS will stay right where they are.
Be sure to catch up on everything happening with DOOL right now. Come back often for Days of Our Lives spoilers, news, and updates.

I don’t give a damn about the other soaps, and now days can take a shit too!!!!!
You are underestimating the number of faithful followers of this soap. DOOL is a staple in so many households and they have been watching for years. This is an unforgivable move that is being made. The fans will not forget and those who choose not to “stream” on Peacock will certainly choose another tv or cable channel to watch, not NBC.
Your cable provider most likely has peacock premium for free. Mine does.
What happens if you don’t have peacocks we can see Days of our lives that’s not good
I will not be watching anymore as a sr on fixed income I can’t afford it. I have watched days from the beginning! (:(
