Hallmark channel movie fans of Lacey Chabert may want to join her on Instagram. Because when the actress feels like teasing new film scoops, she often goes there. As a result, some of Lacey’s fans got hopeful when she shared an Instagram pic with a favorite Hallmark movie co-star.
“So nice to catch up with my dear friend @brennanelliott2,” wrote Lacey. And Chabert took a sweet trip down memory lane. “Brennan and I first met when I did a guest star role on his show Strong Medicine when I was 18! Little did I know, years later, we’d end up doing 9 Hallmark movies together. Here’s hoping we get to do many more.📸,” she teased.
And that proved enough to get some fans gushing over the possibility of another film featuring Lacey and Brennan together again! For instance, one fan shared, “Love you guys!!!” And another exclaimed, “I adore and admire both of you! We need #AOMH4 and more, in addition to new movie pairings!”

But taking a trip down memory lane with her Hallmark channel co-star seems to have gotten Lacey looking back at her career with other actors. And that turned into an update on the Mean Girls cast. As Chabert admitted to E News, it sometimes feels as if she filmed that beloved movie just yesterday!

Recalling her experience on the film, Lacey confessed, “it’s like no time has passed.” And nearly 20 years after Mean Girls filled movie theaters, Chabert’s co-star Jonathan Bennett spilled tea on the cast chat. “I talk to Danny [Franzese], I talk to Lindsay [Lohan], I talk to Amanda [Seyfried] every once in a while,” he shared. “We have a Mean Girls group chat that lights up every October 3.”

Not sure what that reference to October 3 means? That date has become Mean Girls Day. And it honors the scene where Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady Haron requests to know the date as she tries to flirt. But although the movie sparked laughs, Bennett got serious in talking about it.
“It’s like a family,” Bennett continued. ‘”We all got to be involved in this really special movie that meant a lot to a lot of people.” Looking back at that experience, Jonathan reflected on what it meant to his career. “And you don’t always get that type of meaningful film in your career,” he added.
