Sam wanted more time to decide between Drew and Jason but Drew disagreed. Drew couldn’t give Sam the time to decide between them. By the time Sam and Jason split up, Drew was presumed dead. Drew returned home without Jason after a massive cave-in. Jason was presumed dead and Sam was already attracted to Dante.
