When Gwyneth Paltrow says she wants a home, she takes the time to get exactly what she wants. It’s not a coincidence that she’s the founder of Goop: a lifestyle brand that uses unconventional methods for mental health and physical awareness.

The “Iron Man” actress gave Goop readers the ultimate sneak peek into her stunning home. The businesswoman, 49, teamed up with architects and interior designers Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, along with designer Bridgette Romanek, to build the family home she loves from start to finish (no, I’m not joking).

In order to reflect her family’s unique style, the Montecito, California, home blended old-world details with sleek modernism. She lives there with husband Brad Falchuck, 51, and her children Apple, 18, and Moses, 16, whom she shares with ex Chris Martin.

Gwyneth Paltrow – Spent Time Designing the Kitchen And Guest Room

You know what they say, pay more attention to the places you use more often. And for busy Gwyneth Paltrow, it happens to be her kitchen and guest house, who would have guessed?

According to Paltrow, the main focus of the home is the kitchen, which is designed to create a social environment with guests while she cooks. Featuring an island, a colorful plate wall, and shelves to hold her many pots, the kitchen was detailed to create an interesting environment that’s definitely aesthetically pleasing to the eye. (The kitchen is great, there’s no way the food won’t be – but if it’s not, hey, the kitchen is great). To make it cozier, Paltrow opted for a wood-burning fireplace, which is one of the main features of the kitchen.

Another area in the house that Paltrow surprisingly put much attention into is the guest room. The guest room adds more layers of coziness with its white sheets and thick neutral-colored throw blankets. An organic and sustainable Avocado mattress, personally designed by Paltrow, is always neatly spread on the bed. Happy guests, amiright?
