Maybe it’s that people misunderstand Meghan Markle, maybe it’s that she’s ticked off way too many people, but her words are continually giving offense to royal reporters and commentators. Recently, South Africans told her not to step foot on their land anymore following the claims she made about their previous visit to the country in 2019.
But, like adding salt to a wound, she has claimed a South African told her privately that the country celebrated her marriage to Britain’s Prince Harry the same way they celebrated the release of Nelson Mandela. It seems odd that a country, now a Republic and free fromsas the influence of the crown, would devote so much interest and care to the marriage of one of the members of the Royal Family.
But I leave it up to South Africans to figure it out.
The Story Of How Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Bought Their Grand Montecito Home
The Sussexes’ Montecito property boasts a huge land space, a swimming pool, a chicken coop, a beautiful mansion featuring all the things and rooms people like me wish they had, and most importantly, according to Meghan, it speaks “peace”.
Describing the house, Allison P. Davis, who interviewed the Duchess at her Montecito home, said: “The Montecito house is the kind of big that startles you into remembering that unimaginable wealth is actually someone’s daily reality. It evokes a classic Tuscan villa, a Napa vineyard, and a manicured Beverly Hills country club decorated with careful, considered coastal tones for a casual air — the home equivalent of billionaires dressing down in denim.”
It’s no wonder then, that on viewing the house for the first time, Meghan and Harry knew that they had to get it. But, apart from the grandeur of the place, two certain palm trees in the property helped the couple make the decision to buy the expensive property. Little Archie even calls the trees “momma and papa”.
According to Meghan, she and her husband did everything they could to get the house, because of its “calm” and “healing” nature.
