Good news for fans of whodunit movies as Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces a new, original movie, Francesca Quinn, P.I. The movie is set to star Mallory Jansen (The Big Leap, Her Pen Pal) and Dylan Bruce (Magnum P.I., The Christmas Project and more. Read on to find out what we know so far about the upcoming movie.

According to the official synopsis for the movie, Francesca “Frankie” Quinn (Mallory Jansen) is a private investigator in St. Benedict, Minnesota. She finds herself in the middle of a personal case when her fiancé, Carl Wiseman (Derek Kun) is murdered.

Meanwhile, Detective Wyn Rousseau (Dylan Bruce) is assigned to the case and just happens to be Frankie’s ex. Frankie and Wyn share a powerful intellect and were once very much in love, but the relationship ended badly. Following their breakup, Frankie left her forensics job with the police department and became a private investigator.

At first, Frankie stands back, letting Wyn do his job. However, after a week of no progress, Carl’s sister hires her to solve the case. As the one-time pair teams up to unravel a serpentine plot and unmask a sinister killer, the investigation strikes at their hearts.

Francesca Quinn, P.I. stars Mallory Jansen as Frankie who has previously starred in The Big Leap and Her Pen Pal. She stars opposite Dylan Bruce as Detective Wyn Rousseau. Bruce is known for his roles in Magnum, P.I. and The Christmas Project. Meanwhile, Derek Kun stars as Carl Wiseman and has previously been seen in Heartland Homicide.

According to the official IMDb page for the movie, other cast members include Amy Groening as Sally, Paul Essiembre as Chief Jim and Alicia Johnston as Detective Ella. Meanwhile, Samantha Kendrick plays Detective Beatrice, Robert Nahum plays Bill Duncan and Angela Narth is Ronda Harper. Other cast includes Richard Patrick Tolton II as Harlan Trent, Stephen Irom Gatphoh as Officer Tommy Wiggins, Laurel Fife as Kara and Diane Isfeld as a Female Guard.
