Gwen Stefani’s Incredible Debut At Grand Ole Opry

Gwen Stefani has blazed the trail on every stage she ever stepped foot on to perform, and she is still blazing the trail as goes. So, last Saturday, Sept. 10, Gwen Stefani made a remarkable and surprise appearance at the grandest stage of country music the Grand Ole Opry. The thing is, not only did Gwen perform at Ole Opry, she did a duet with her husband Blake Shelton the king of Country Music if I may say so myself, and boyyyy, the performance blew the mind of everyone present in the arena.

In case you don’t understand what I meant when I called Blake Shelton the King of Country Music, in 2020, when Gwen made her broadcast debut in Ole Opry, Natalie Stovall who was the Runaway June spoke that standing beside Blake made get nervous because it was her first time hosting the show unlike Blake who has five years experience in hosting it, Stovall said, ”You’ve even hosted Saturday Night Live, I mean come on… I’m very impressed by that because that is like the Top Gun of hosting y’all. I mean to all of us musicians/hosts that’s like you know you’re like the Tom Cruise of Country. He’s the Maverick of Country.”

It’s worthy to note that Blake Shelton is a hardcore member of the Grand Ole Opry, so, on that beautiful Saturday evening of September 10, Blake introduced the winner of The Voice Season 18 Todd Tilgham, and thereafter, Blake made a surprise introduction to the audience in the performance of his lovely wife Gwen Stefani.

“So I told y’all at the beginning that this was a very special night for me. It’s all about The Voice. Just like with Todd Tilghman, how long that performance had been coming… This next performance has been a long time coming also” after his introduction, Gwen stepped into the stage with a beautiful pink dress and performed “Nobody But You” with Blake.

It was indeed the first time Gwen was performing country music let alone doing a duet on country music, so when she stepped into the stage, the audience greeted her with a standing ovation, and as soon as they heard her sing the first lyrics of the song, they went wild with joy. The first song she performed with Blake “Nobody But You” was picked according to the highest ranking songs on their country music duet chart.

Just when they were about to round up the song, Blake happily reintroduced his wife to the audience again. Addressing the audience, Gwen admitted that she was never because “This is one of those things you don’t dream about if you’re me, then all of a sudden, I’m up here with Blake Shelton. It’s a miracle. I’m so grateful. Thank you so much.”

Gwen Stefani — Fans’ Reaction To Gwen’s Performance

Gwen’s epic performance left her husband in awe as he took to his Instagram to share his joy and also thank the audience for giving Gwen not one but two standing ovations, Blake wrote “So proud of Gwen!!! So happy I could witness this in person,” and: “Those two are an awesome couple!” as well as: “How loved you guys are,” plus: “Fantastic as always. I love watching the two of you on stage together. Your love shines through every time.”

Fans were so excited to have been a part or a spectator to the wonderful performance of one of The Voice’s Coach Gwen Stefani, someone said, “So proud of Gwen!!! So happy I could witness this in person,” others expressed how delighted they always are whenever they are the couple on stage.
