The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe) is stepping back into Genoa City and he could not be more excited for the experience and what it could potentially mean going down the road.
He finds his character Deacon in the center of an upcoming crossover between The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful that will reunite with ex-wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) who has a lot of questions to ask him about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Deacon is the one who helped Diane fake her death all those years ago which got Nikki framed for murder. In an interview with PEOPLE ahead of the anticipated crossover on September 20th, Kanan answered some burning questions about it.

During his interview with People, Sean was asked how he felt about the crossover to which he responded, “It’s not unheard of that characters crossover, it happens from time to time, but it’s not really frequent. So it’s always flattering and fun when you get to go work with another group of actors,” he continued, “And I got a great little ad lib which at the end of this scene, I just looked at her and went, “Oh, Nick. One more thing: You look good.” [Laughs] It’s a lot of fun to work with Melody’s husband, Ed [J. Scott], who’s our supervising producer, who I adore.”
It’s been a lot of years since Deacon was in Genoa City but it looks like he will be able to slip right back in with the cast like nothing happened and even joke around with Melody Thomas Scott!
Y&R Spoilers – His Favorite Leading Lady
When it comes to his favorite leading lady on Y&R, it may seem pretty obvious, and he was quick to answer, “Well, I have to say Melody! I mean, I really enjoyed working with her. I’ll tell you a true story: I always wanted to work with Eric Braeden and Melody.” Sean continued to say that you never know where working with Nikki again may lead! “And it’s nice to get another bite at the apple, playing Deacon on Y&R working with Nikki again. Who knows? You never know where it might lead, whether we’ll see Deacon again on Y&R.”

No, no Nikki and Deacon reunion… Not while Victor has a pulse… Silly trip for Nikki… she has so much in her life, why waste time on getting rid of Diane? All these things happened so long ago.. what about Nikki’s part in the “death” of J.T.? I have been watching Y and R since the beginning… let’s move on now. Leave Diane alone.
I vaguely remember a flashback or something where Nikki got seriously compromised when visiting Deacon Sharp alone in a room. The writers keep telling us she’s smart but this is one of these situations where she’s being written again as really dumb.
