Sir David Attenborough Reveals What He Loved About Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth passed away and right now, a nation is in mourning. Actually, across the world, people remember her with love and respect, and estimates point to at least 4 billion folks tuning in to watch as she is honored one last time. Close to home, Sir David Attenborough, a national treasure in his own way, reflected on her passing. And, he revealed what he loved the most about the monarch.

You might not know that Sir David Attenborough is well known to the royal family. Of course, he was knighted twice, so he met her majesty on very formal occasions. But, their relationship goes back much further than that. Bear in mind, both of them were patrons and supporters of animal conservation. In fact, he also met the grandchildren of the family in 2020. Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and little Prince Louis interviewed him about animals.

It’s been a week since ITV spoke with Sir David Attenborough about Queen Elizabeth. However, not everyone can tune in and watch the channel. So, parts of it were shared on TikTok on September 18. The monarch takes her last journey to her resting place on September 19. And, no doubt, along with millions of other people, the famous TV presenter and conservationist will miss his old friend. Queen Elizabeth Had A Nice Laugh – Sir David Attenborough

Years ago, when King Charles and Princess Anne were still kids, David was working for the BBC. Not yet world-famous for his wildlife productions, he met the royals when they toured the broadcasting station. As they maintained their friendship, one thing that always stood out for him was the fact that the monarch had a genuine sense of humor. 

Queen Elizabeth was a powerful figure and often appeared serious and very proper. But for David, her genuine laughter will remain one of the top things that he loved about her. As he pointed out in his interview, she could have just pretended to find things amusing. But, she didn’t play at that sort of thing. When she found something funny, she let out a real laugh. 

Comments On The Interview

Fans of the royal family and of nature conservation liked what Sir David Attenborough said about Queen Elizabeth.  One of them said, “he’s almost as royal as the royals, a true gentleman, when he passes, all of nature will mourne (sic) and the loss will be profound.”

Another admirer wrote, “A legend speaking about a legend 💖.”

This comment also arrived: “Both national treasures, both the best of British 🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️.”
