Hallmark Channel News: WCTH Cast Pairs Up with Amateur Bakers In Christmas Cookie Matchup

The holiday baking competition Christmas Cookie Match-Up first installment makes its debut Wednesday, November 13, 2019 on Hallmark Drama. The cookie baking competition pairs When Calls the Heart cast members with amateur bakers, and a grand prize of $25,000 will be awarded to the winning holiday treat maker. Jack Wagner (Bill Avery, ‘WCTH’ will host the five-part weekly series.
When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton), Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter), Kavan Smith (Lee Coulter), Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard), Kevin McGarry (Nate Grant), Paul Greene (Dr. Carson Shepherd) and Andrea Brooks (Faith Carter) will be the apprentice bakers paired with the amateur cookie creators.
Top baking and food personalities, Emily Hutchinson and Chadwick Boyd, have been tapped as judges for the Hallmark Drama’s first all-new series. The talented experts will decide which home baker’s Christmas cookies will take home the $25,000 prize.
Both judges have impressive resumes. Chadwick Boyd food media entrepreneur got his start selling hand-crafted brownies and fresh lemonade when he was seven years old. Over the years the food media entrepreneur has built upon that first business. Boyd’s company, Chadwick Boyd Lifestyle, focuses on food trends, and modern home cooking.
Emily Hutchinson, the creator of the blog The Hutch Oven, is a self-taught baker, recipe developer, decorating teacher, and cookbook author. Hutchinson, who teaches her popular baking techniques on national television, has spent years mastering the art of buttercream-frosted sugar cookies and has an all-new book; Creative Cookie Decorating: Buttercream Frosting Designs and Tips for Every Occasion coming soon.
Christmas Cookie Match-Up is one of the many Hallmark family of networks celebrations for Hallmarkies to enjoy this holiday season. Hallmark Channel 10th Anniversary Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Miracles of Christmas extravaganza debuts a total of 40 new, original holiday movies.
Also premiering this week from Hallmark? Wednesday, November 13, 2019 brings the premiere of Nostalgic Christmas starring ‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Trevor Donovan (Jeremy Horton) and Brooke D’Orsay (Royal Pains).

A Christmas Miracle starring The Young and the Restless alum Brooks Darnell (former Dr. Nate Hastings), Tamera Mowry-Housley (Sister, Sister), and Barry Bostwick (Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce) makes its debut Thursday, November 14, 2019 p.m. at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT.
Christmas Under the Stars premieres Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT. Both holiday-themed movies are part of the Hallmark Channel 10th Anniversary Countdown to Christmas
