Emily Ratajkowski Calls Adam Levine Scandal Backlash “Classic Misogyny”

The internet has had one or two, or even a million, things to say about the scandal currently obscuring Adam Levine’s reputation.

Whatever you say or think about the matter, his pregnant wife Behati Prinsloo is ready to work things out with him and heal their relationship.

But supermodel Emily Ratajkowski is not commenting on the cheating allegations, she’s only pointing out that people’s reaction to the news is one-sided and it’s so wrong. I mean, doesn’t it take two to cheat these days?

Emily Ratajkowski Brands People’s Reaction To the Adam Levine Cheating Allegations “Sexism”

You’ve probably seen vile comments directed at model Summer Stroh for allegedly having an affair with a married man. Some people called her names and questioned her sense of decency. Like, why aren’t most of them also questioning Adam Levine’s decency? After all, he’s the one with the pregnant wife and two kids. Just saying.

However, you should know that Stroh stoked the fire when she posted a TikTok video about having an affair with the popular musician. The video went viral and even led to Adam Levine explaining himself. Whilst the 43-year-old star admitted that he sent “flirtatious” texts to her, he denies having ever had an affair with her.

According to Stroh, she broke up with him before deciding to go public with the affair that may or may not have happened.

The scandal, of course, did come with its own special backlash, but Ratajkowski is seeing that the blame train is biased.

“I don’t understand why we continue to blame women for men’s mistakes, especially when you’re talking about 20-something-year-old women dealing with men in positions of power who are twice their age,” said Ratajkowski in her post.

“The power dynamic is so skewed, it’s ridiculous,” she added. “Like, it’s predatory, it’s manipulative, I can’t imagine.”
Ratajkowski, who met Adam Levine on the set of his 2013 music video “Love Somebody”, filed for divorce earlier this month from her estranged husband Sebastian Bear-McClard after four years of marriage, following reports he cheated on her.

Ratajkowski is not a stranger when it comes to online backlashes, especially when calling out a man. In 2021, the model was fried online for saying that singer Robin Thicke groped her on the set of the 2013 music video for his hit song “Blurred Lines”.

So it’s understandable that she actually took the time to comment on this. She truly can relate.

“If you’re the one in the relationship, you’re the one who’s obligated to be loyal,” Ratajkowski continued on TikTok. “So, the whole ‘other woman, they’re to blame’ [critique]? That’s bad and it’s literally designed to keep women apart.”

“I think a huge problem in our culture right now is we just say, ‘Oh men are monsters, they’re terrible, they’re horrible,’ ” Ratajkowski added in a follow-up video. “We don’t hold [men] accountable and then we blame other women and we ask women to adjust their behavior, instead of just saying men need to change their behavior. It’s sexism. It’s classic misogyny. Period.”
