Selena Gomez Shuts Down Hate Comments After Hailey Bieber’s Confessions

It’s been barely 24 hours after Hailey Bieber talked about what actually led to her marriage to Justin Bieber, just a few months after Justin broke up with Selena. It’s a well known fact that Jelena was a “power couple” back when they were dating, so it’s not surprising that their breakup hurt their fans more than they knew, even to the extent that Hailey bore the consequences of being Justin’s next girlfriend and finally his wife. Selena’s fans took turns in trolling Hailey even to this very day.

Taking to TikTok to promote her brand Rare Beauty, Selena took the opportunity to shut down vile comments that her supposed fans write about Hailey all in the name of being loyal to Selena. The Only Murders In The Building star said, “If you support Rare, I cannot thank you enough, but know that you are also representing what it means — and that is: Words matter. Truly matter,” said Selena while adding that she’s “all about kind words.”

The thing is that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dated for eight solid years, but of course, you should know that already because it was very public while they were at it. Although the relationship was an on/off one, their fans rooted for them and wished they would end up saying their “I do” to each other but unfortunately, wishes don’t always come to pass as the two broke up in early 2018. To cut the long story short, a few months after their breakup, Justin engaged and married Hailey, leaving his fans and Selena’s fans wondering and speculating that Hailey was the reason Justin and Selena broke up.

On the Sept. 28 episode of Call Her Daddy, Hailey Bieber explained everything on how it went down, from being good friends with Justin Bieber to actually being his wife, Hailey made sure she addressed the issue of stealing Justin from Selena, host Alex Cooper asked Hailey “People were obsessed with [Justin and Selena] being together, were you ever with Justin romantically at the same time as her?” To which Hailey replied “This is so crazy I’ve literally never talked about this ever. A lot of the hate and perpetuation comes from like, ‘Oh you stole him.’ It’s about people knowing the truth, because there’s a truth.”

Hailey explained to Alex that she met Justin when she was 18 years old and all the time she has been with Justin he wasn’t in any relationship, Justin was as single as ever, and when she got engaged to Justin he was also very much single, whatever the reason why his relationship with Selena failed, she respects that but she has never ever been with Justin when he was dating. Hailey went on to say that she’s not the type that dives into someone’s relationship, she has never done that and would never do that not just because she was raised well but because it’s not in her character to do such.

To further buttress her point the supermodel went on to say, “I can say period point blank I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it. And I had been involved with him since I was 18.”
