British Royal News says that there are some people out there who just want to keep things single. There’s a new report that suggests the British media wants to drop the ‘consort’ from Camilla Parker Bowles’ new title. That way she’s only known as ‘Queen Camilla’ rather than ‘Queen Consort Camilla.’ Here’s what you need to know.

The Times of London was the first to announce the change. Omid Scobie, who has written a biography for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the past, commented on the matter with, “Moving forward, The Times of London are dropping the ‘Consort’ from Camilla’s title and will refer to her as Queen Camilla or The Queen. Curious to know if people want to see other outlets do the same?”

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both royal fans and critics to weigh in on the matter. Many of them said, “Camilla will never be a Queen in the same sense as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 was Queen and should have been changed to Princess Consort which after all is what we were led to believe she wanted (and many of the public) when she married the future King,” along with, “Charles is prepared to move mountains for Camilla, the same can’t be said for his son and grandchildren.”

Another critic wrote, “Hopefully ALL media outlets will follow suit. Whether you like her or not, she is HM The Queen aka Queen Camilla by right of her marriage to King Charles III. I think Queen Consort was used initially to distinguish her from QEII. As time marches on that is no longer necessary.”

British Royal News – What’s Next For The British Royal Family?

And then there was this comment, “There you have it. The Real reason Camilla over threw Diana and stuck two fingers to the Queens wishes. Her purpose was to always be Queen. It also explains why her biographer within 2 days using the Queen death to plug her book. UNBELIEVABLE.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, but it’s doubtful that anything will be said at this point.
