According to People, one source close to the situation says that Charles and William have been spending a lot of time together and apparently “talking about the future of the country” so much so that it has helped strengthen their bond. The publication puts it this way:

“In addition to coming together over the deaths of Prince Philip, Charles’ father who died in April 2021, and Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to move to California after stepping back as senior members of the royal family in 2020 has brought William and Charles closer.”

Of course, many royal fans and critics alike can’t help but weigh in on the matter on social media. Some have commented with, “What always amazes me about Charles and William is that they never really knew Harry. I mean knew who he actually was and what he wanted and what mattered to him. It’s very sad. I know people will say that they never thought it mattered. And that’s probably true. It doesn’t stop it from being incredibly gut-wrenching for him though. They must have hurt a lot.”
