Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) has been feeling lonely for a while now. As DOOL viewers know, his husband Will Horton (Chandler Massey) was imprisoned during the time jump year, and the two don’t appear to be on good terms at all. Will is responsible for the death of Sonny’s mother, Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) and that has led to a huge rift between the two.

Of course, DOOL viewers haven’t yet learned about the circumstances surrounding Adrienne’s death, but DOOL spoilers indicate that it was likely a terrible accident of some sort. It’s possible that Will was behind the wheel when Adrienne was killed, perhaps as a distracted driver, but at any rate it seems that he has taken responsibility for what he did.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Sonny Kiriakis Reels From What Will Horton Did

Still, Sonny is having a difficult time with the whole situation, as one might imagine. And as DOOL viewers know, he recently connected with a new man – Evan Frears (Brock Kelly), who is Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) nanny. Sonny and Evan spoke briefly in the park recently, and it seemed that they hit it off pretty well.

It also seemed that Evan might be romantically interested in Sonny, as he asked him out to dinner. Sonny didn’t seem to realize that Evan was into him, and he politely declined. It seems that Sonny just has too much on his mind right now to consider a new relationship – plus he’s still married to Will, even though they seem to be estranged.

DOOL Spoilers – Sonny Kiriakis Opens Up About His Problems

Well, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Sonny and Evan will soon spend some more time together, and that Sonny will open up to Evan about the things that are bothering him. Chances are, this means that DOOL viewers will hear more about the circumstances surrounding Adrienne’s death and exactly what happened. But it also means that Sonny and Evan will probably start to develop a friendship.

As Sonny opens up to Evan, he may realize that he misses having companionship. He might also enlist Evan’s help with Arianna Horton (Kingston Foster), who seems to have been struggling since Will was sent to prison. That would put Evan in a pivotal position of importance in Sonny’s life. Of course, Sonny probably won’t be looking for romance, but he just might find himself growing attracted to Evan.

We’ll see what happens between Sonny and Evan, but it certainly seems like TPTB are setting them up for a new romance, as well as some conflict with Will. Do you think Sonny and Evan will get together?
