Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) are thrilled that they won their respective elections and Paulina is now the governor of whatever state Salem is located in. And Abe doesn’t even want to be Salem’s mayor anymore since he wants to support his new wife and move to the capital with her.

Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) couldn’t be happier for them and is celebrating in Horton Square when Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) suddenly shows up and arrests her — and the charge is suspected murder. Paulina does her best to support her daughter, but she is hauled off to the Salem PD anyway, leaving Allie Horto (Linsay Arnold) quite confused.

DOOL Spoilers – What Did Chanel Dupree Really Do?

Fans have known for weeks that Chanel did something horrible when she was in college that was threatening to ruin her mother’s campaign, but Paulina paid Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to do some dirty work and she came through. Paulina and Chanel both assumed that whatever she did would stay in the past, but somehow it has not come to light.

Chanel is also perplexed because she does not feel what she did could have been murder. So, she has no idea what is really happening and is terrified when Shawn takes her away.

How is she going to explain this to Allie? She kept this possibility of a part secret being revealed from her girlfriend when they had promised one another they would tell each other everything. Chanel meant to tell Allie, but things just kept getting in the way and it never happened.
