Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Julie Accused Of Election Fraud, Another Sloan Trick?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will be accused of a crime. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will be forced to question his grandma-aunt, and it might be accusations of election tampering-or is it just another Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) trick?

It’s easy to imagine Julie stunned and likely outraged when her grandson Shawn is forced to question her about accusations of a crime. It is true that Julie was a troubled teenager and got in trouble for shoplifting and was stopped by a security guard for stealing an expensive mink. That happened in the very first episode of DOOL, so that “criminal record” would long have disappeared from the police files; Shawn may not even know anything about it.

So what would make most sense for Julie to be accused of, considering it’s Election Day? Probably election tampering, since Sloan tears into Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) for stealing her evidence file on Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Sloan needs to stall the election.

DOOL Spoilers –  Julie Williams A Convenient Target

Sloan’s blackmail of Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) is based on “evidence” contained in the file that Alex stole out of her room even though she may have a backup file. But it’s election day so she needs to stop the election in its tracks right then and there, and the quickest way is to accuse someone of election fraud. Julie seems to be a convenient target, since Sloan probably did some digging and found out Julie opposed “Price Town” vehemently; but Sloan’s way behind the times.

Julie and Paulina’s feud over Price Town ended when they became co-grandparents, in Julie’s case, great grandparent to Eli and Lani Price-Grant’s (Lamon Archey, Sal Stowers). Chanel also arrived in Salem around that time, and Paulina scrapped her plans to tear down Horton Town Square shortly after.

Shawn has to investigate nonetheless even though he’s sure his grandma-aunt is innocent; she’s both since Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) is his grandfather and Julie is his mother’s big sister. Julie may worry about being arrested, and if Sloan manufactures false evidence, which would surprise no one, he may have to. It’s becoming very plain that the agenda of Sloan’s client is to stop Paulina from becoming Governor, whether it is through a scandal or through a stolen election.

But there may be a two-fold reason Sloan had that file of evidence, manufactured or not, against Chanel; there may be some revenge the client wants as well. Otherwise, why is that file that Alex stole so important, unless it’s primarily for the blackmail value and the money is for Sloan herself and not her client?
