Viewers have not seen Alyvia Alyn Lind on “The Young and the Restless” since July. The good news is the actress will reprise her role as Faith Newman on December 20. Lind’s character returns home from a boarding school just in time for the holidays.

The young actress has been keeping herself busy outside of the soap opera. Currently, she can be seen in Netflix’s “Daybreak.” The series is based on the graphic novel by Brian Ralph. It is about a teenager, Josh, and a band of misfits, who is looking for his girlfriend in a post-apocalyptic California. Lind is a member of the group named Angelica. She is a 12-year-old pyromaniac who, along with her friends, fight off gangs they encounter.

Lind is working with Matthew Broderick, Colin Ford, Austin Crute, Jeante Godlock, Cody Kearsley, and Krysta Rodriguez. Aside from “Daybreak,” the young actress is also a cast member of Hulu’s “Future Man” and “Walk Ride Rodeo.”

Back to “The Young and the Restless,” Lind’s character, Faith Newman is the daughter of Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). In real life, she’s the daughter of John Lind, a famous director and producer, and actress Barbara Alyn Woods. Her parents met at the set of “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.”

Lind is part of a family that is in the acting business. As mentioned earlier, both of her parents are in the industry, and so are her sisters Emily Alyn Lind and Natalie Alyn Lind.

She started acting when she was 3 years old. She appeared on “The Young and the Restless” as Faith Newman back in 2011. This was her first acting debut. Since then, she’s landed other acting roles including “Dark Skies,” “NCIS,” “Mockingbird,” “Blended, “See Dad Run,” to name a few.

When she reached ten years old, she’s already had extensive acting experience. She’s worked with seasoned actors including Ricky Schroder. At a very young age, she’s received accolades for her impeccable performance. She earned a Movie Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 168 Film Festival. Lind also earned a Young Entertainment Award and a Young Artist Award. She also received a nomination for Critic’s Choice TV Award and an Emmy for her amazing performance in “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors.”
