This dilemma can be argued in various ways. Lily could be told the full truth because she is the woman Billy loves. It can be claimed that she needs and deserves to know.

However, Billy can be lauded for protecting Chelsea’s privacy. The Grand Phoenix Hotel ledge incident is not something that is a light conversation piece, and Lily does not have a right to know information about Chelsea, including what Billy did for her.

If Billy and Lily are involved in a strong relationship, they will get past this awkward situation. Ideally, Chelsea would eventually go to Lily and share what happened.

But Chelsea may not want to do that, feeling embarrassed or believing that Billy’s presumed next wife should not be part of the loop. Chelsea feelings for Billy were surprising expressed in the recent past, when she kissed him.

So, Billy might be putting a strain on his relationship because he has resurgent feelings for Chelsea. Alternatively, it could be that he truly loves Lily and is just a solid friend to Chelsea.

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Importance Can Not Be Denied

Billy decided that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had to know what happened. It took some coaxing from Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who, like Billy to a certain degree, has matured into a voice of reason.

Adam has matured as well. The demeanor he offered, in Chelsea’s room at the facility where she is being treated, was noteworthy.

The compassion and sympathy he offered to her went beyond their bond as former spouses or at their son’s parents. Adam felt genuine remorse for not recognizing that Chelsea was in distress and believes he could have helped her to avoid what happened.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease Chelsea said that she felt disconnected from everything. However, viewers and Billy saw that she did not take that ultimate final step when it was possible.

So, while Billy proved decisive, Chelsea retained the will to live. She must tap into her reserves and rely on those who care about her.
