As The Young and The Restless viewers will recall, Ashley had recently offered her newfound nephew a job in her company in Paris, believing in him and was even making preparations to finance his trip over and arranging a place to live for him, when her brother Jack hired him out from under her because he wanted to keep him around Genoa City!

Theo and Ashley had bonded as well, both knowing what it was to feel like an outsider because of being the products of Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) affairs; Theo, indirectly, since Dina is his grandmother, his late father Eric Vanderway (Jon Briddell) having been the product of a teenage one night stand between Dina and Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert). Now that Theo accepted Jack’s offer after having accepted Ashley’s, having been convinced by Jack that he offered the better of the two opportunities since Theo didn’t have to break up with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and start over in a foreign land, will Ashley and Jack fight over it?

If Theo Vanderway Is Included In The Abbott Thanksgiving Dinner, He May Get A Firsthand Look At Abbott Family Dysfunctionality!

If Theo is included in the Abbott Family Thanksgiving dinner, as he likely will be, he may get a firsthand look at the Abbott Family dysfunctionality! He knew that Ashley and Jack could be competitive already, probably because Ashley told him some family business stories. Theo should feel the conflict already from how Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has been treating him since it was discovered they are cousins, and what little time he has spent working in the offices of Jabot with Kyle feeling he has to fight with Theo over his place in the company, when Kyle is a superior of Theo and he doesn’t understand why Kyle feels so threatened by him!

The backstory of why Kyle feels such a competition with Theo and what happened in their New York days has not yet been revealed by Y & R scriptwriters but there was obviously something that happened; perhaps Theo stole some girlfriends from Kyle back in the day? Billy Abbott may be over at the Newman ranch for Thanksgiving with his wife Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) so at least he won’t be a factor. But if Ashley and Jack get in a fight over Theo right in front of him, that may cause him to wonder if he wants to continue to be a member of the Abbotts or even keep working at Jabot, although he desperately needs the job!

Ashley had started her own company in Paris, after a series of events left her feeling alienated from the rest of the family; and the discovery of legal documents that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) and Dina left, stating that all of Ashley’s product patents belonged to her; these patents are what she started her company with.
