Christina Applegate Makes Heartbreaking Appearance Amid MS For Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony

Christina Applegate recently revealed her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). And now the actress has made her first public appearance since revealing her health challenges. But she also received lots of love from co-stars and fans.

Christina Applegate Makes First Public Appearance Since MS Diagnosis

Held on November 14, Christina Applegate’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony symbolized something special for the actress. Because it showed her courage in returning after she revealed her MS diagnosis in spring 2021. However, the event also reflected how the pandemic changed everything, noted Variety.

Organizers initially planned the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony honoring Applegate for 2020. However, because of the pandemic, they postponed giving Christina her star on the Walk of Fame. As a result, the actress decided to share her MS diagnosis before the ceremony.

In her announcement on Twitter, Applegate made her disclosure while working on the third season of her Netflix comedy. That season also marked the last episode of the show, Dead to Me. And some of her co-stars from that show attended Christina’s Walk of Fame event.

Christina Applegate’s Co-Stars Honor Her Star On Walk Of Fame

Before the actress appeared at the ceremony, some of her co-stars honored her. For instance, her Married…with Children co-stars Katey Sagal and David Faustino took time to recognize the meaning of Applegate’s star on the Walk of Fame. But Sagal couldn’t hold back her tears.

And Katey showed her emotion as she told Christina, “You’re not alone. We’re all here.” Other co-stars included the actress’ Dead to Me co-star Linda Cardellini. And the show’s creator Liz Feldman also honored Applegate.

However, Christina herself broke down when she finally made her appearance. And in order to move to the podium at the Walk of Fame ceremony, she received assistance from Sagal. The other actress remained on the stage during Applegate’s speech.

Choking up, Applegate cried as she discussed her daughter. And she thanked her for giving her so much support amid her struggles with MS. “The most important person in this world is my daughter,” shared Christina. “You are so much more than even you know.” And praising her daughter as “so beautiful and kind and smart and interesting,” the actress called herself “blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to school.”

Applegate finished her appreciation for her daughter by thanking her “for standing by me through all of this.” But she also shared her appreciation to her fans. And she called them “gorgeous” as she declared, “Every single one of you. I love you [all] so much.”
