Royal Family News: Has Prince Harry Been Told To Stay Away During Prince William’s Trip To Boston?

British Royal family news says that this could have been a grand opportunity for a royal family reunion on American soil, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen now or ever, in fact. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were probably told to back when Prince William and Kate Middleton arrive in Boston early next month.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be on hand for the second annual Earthshot Awards and while it would have been nice to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex invited to the ceremony, it doesn’t look like it will happen. Here’s what you need to know.

According to The Sunday Times, there’s a chance that Harry and Meghan were politely but also firmly told to keep their distance – and perhaps even stay on the West Coast – while William and Kate are in Boston. One of the reasons why royal experts believe Harry and Meghan need to lay low for some time is because William and Kate are desperate to make some headlines during their trip to America.

Royal author and expert Tina Brown puts it this way, “While Harry and Meghan have captured the tabloid imagination here, interest in William and Kate is low boil. I would like to have seen them hit more cities than Boston, where sizzle factor is quiescent to say the least. To win America, I would recommend a White House dinner, with Kate hitting the dance floor with [the actor] Bradley Cooper, as Diana did with [John] Travolta, preferably in the dress Kate wore to the James Bond opening.”

Of course, Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter but it will be interesting to see if Harry and Meghan plan on doing anything to steal the Wales’ spotlight. It’s happened before and there’s a very good chance that it might happen again. Watch this space.
