Hallmark’s A Holiday Spectacular Features Broadway Stars & The Radio City Rockettes

Hallmark Channel is about to premiere the new, original movie, A Holiday Spectacular. Meanwhile, the spectacular film famously stars Ginna Claire Mason, Derek Klena, Ann-Margret, Eve Plumb and the Radio City Rockettes. Viewers will get to spend time back in 1958 as an heiress decides to live out her dream to dance with the Rockettes. A Holiday Spectacular on Hallmark Channel

Hallmark isn’t using the word “spectacular” lightly when titling the new, original film A Holiday Spectacular. The movie stars Broadway favorites Ginna Claire Mason and Derek Klena, as well as Emmy award winner and Academy Award nominee, Ann Margret. Meanwhile, real Radio City Rockettes appear in speaking roles and performance numbers in the movie, shot on location in upstate New York and at Radio City Music Hall. Moreover, the performance is choreographed by director and choreographer, Julie Branam.

According to the official synopsis, in 1958, Philadelphia heiress, Maggie (Mason) decides to put her high-society wedding plans on hold. Meanwhile, she sneaks off to New York City to make her secret dream come true. In fact, Maggie wants to dance live on stage in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.

Meanwhile, her upper-crust family believes she is staying in New York City with an “approved” friend from boarding school. However, Maggie is living a completely different life from anything she has ever known. In fact, she falls in love with New York and dancing with the Rockettes.

However, Maggie soon feels caught between two worlds, made even more complicated by her chance encounter with young US Navy photographer John (KIena). Will Maggie pluck up the courage to tell her family what she wants for her future, instead of accepting the future that was decided for her?

Ginna Claire Mason, who plays Maggie, has been seen in Wicked and Preach, while Derek Klena, who plays John, has been seen in Moulin Rouge! and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Meanwhile, Ann-Margret is known for many roles, including Bye Bye Birdie and Grumpy Old Men. Moreover, Eve Plumb has been seen in A Very Brady Renovation and Bull.

According to the official IMDb page, other cast members include Carolyn McCormick (Law & Order) as Elisabeth Bingham and Byron Jennings (Lincoln, Julie & Julia, The Greatest Showman) as Grant Bingham. Coincidentally, Byron is married to Carolyn McCormick.

Tiffany Denise Hobbs stars as Alice, Elle Graper as Lucy and Larissa Schmitz as Janet. Meanwhile, Stephen DeRosa stars as Frank and, of course, The Radio City Rockettes star as themselves in the movie.
