General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Tells Carly That Willow is Sick — And She Withholds The Truth From Drew

General Hospital spoilers reveals Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has been respectful of Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) wishes. She doesn’t want everyone to know she has cancer yet. She’s only just told Michael, after all, and she needs time to process her recent progression from stage II to stage IV before she can deal with other people’s feelings, too.

However, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is going to let her anxiety get the best of her as she continues to question why Willow would suddenly find her medical history so important that she wants to find her birth parents. Why didn’t she think of that months ago when Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) died and she found out the truth? Something doesn’t add up, and it’s going to push Michael to let Carly in on what’s really going on.

When Carly clearly just won’t get the point, and harps on the reason behind Willow wanting to find her birth parents, rather than just helping with the search, Michael is going to shoot straight with her. He might plead with Carly not to let Willow know she knows, or he may get Willow’s permission to share the news with Carly. Regardless, when Carly finds out Willow has cancer and is close to death’s door as she carries Carly’s next grandbaby, she won’t know how to proceed. Carly never expected this and thought Willow’s search for her birth parents was just idle curiosity — not rooted in life-saving measures to make sure they don’t lose Willow.

Carly is beside herself and knows she’s going to need to come clean about what she knows — Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is Willow’s birth mother. She may be a match for bone marrow donation and she’s right there in Port Charles. However, there’s a hang-up. Carly already told Drew the DNA test she did on Willow and Nina showed they weren’t a match. She’s going to have to go back on her word now and explain why she lied. She knows she might lose Drew in the process, and she might deliberate whether she’s ready to do that — or risk everyone losing Willow instead.

General Hospital Spoilers — A New Lie Is Formed

While Carly might be hesitant to lie to Drew’s face, she will have to create a new lie to cover for the old ones, and she’s going to be lying by omission every time she cozies up to him to “help” with his search for Willow’s birth parents. The way Carly sees it, knowing the truth about why Willow needs to find her biological mother and father would only drive Drew to work even harder at making it happen — and Carly isn’t ready for that yet. Plus, she can’t let Drew find out Nina is Willow’s birth mother in any other way but from her mouth. Again, when she is ready.
