General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Tips Off The SEC — But Carly And Drew Will Think It’s Sonny

General Hospital spoilers reveals Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) didn’t mince words when he threatened to report Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to the SEC. He’s hurt by Drew and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) actions, and in an angry moment, he wanted payback.

So when the SEC comes knocking on Carly’s and Drew’s doors, they’ll immediately assume Ned followed through with his threat. However, when Ned insists it wasn’t him — although he will hardly be heartbroken to see Drew raked over the coals — Carly and Drew will start to wonder if someone else isn’t bitter and out to get them.

While Carly and Drew try to sort through their feelings and figure out what comes next, they’ll both be panicking about the risk they could serve jail time. Carly obviously worries that she might have to leave her kids, and Drew has spent enough time away from his family; he doesn’t want to lose any more.

As they put their heads together in an attempt to figure out who else could have possibly turned them in, the list will be short because no one really knows they’re together. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) just found out about them, but she wouldn’t even know what the SEC is, much less have an interest in punishing either one of them. Apart from Carly’s mother, and Olivia Falconeri’s (Lisa LoCicero) suspicions, the only other person who knows about them is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

GH Spoilers – Suggest They Suspect Sonny Corinthos Of Turning Them In

Although Carly and Drew will consider that Olivia could’ve told Ned they had become an item while Carly was away in Florida, and that might have pushed him to cause trouble in paradise, it won’t seem as plausible. After all, neither Drew nor Carly has confirmed to Olivia that they’re seeing each other. She suspects they are though, and she’s gone out of her way to let Drew know she will keep it to herself and won’t be telling Ned. That leaves Sonny as their primary suspect, and it won’t surprise either of them that he’d stoop to this level out of jealousy. He can never truly be happy for Carly and let her move on with someone else. However, she can’t believe he would risk having their daughters lose their mother.

When Carly shows up at Sonny’s door wielding accusations, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be there. As Nina witnesses the argument between them, she’ll jump in to defend Sonny and might slip up and say too much. Sonny will be onto her, and he’s going to know she knows more than she’s letting on. However, that doesn’t mean he’s going to throw Nina under the bus. He might cover for her this time, but he won’t be able to look at her the same.
