The reason it is probably Kristen is because she is bold and outspoken enough to tell Eli exactly what he needs to hear. That Lani was forced to break his heart by his girlfriend, the evil scheme-tress. She also needs to tell him that Gabi tried to kill his grandmother, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) via smartphone app.

Lani is too down and brokenhearted to tell Eli the truth, much less face him. So it has to be Kristen that does it for her. Now, how will Eli react when he hears the news? Will this be the beginning of the end for the venomous vixen?
