Justin Bieber Warns Fans From Purchasing The Latest H&M Collection: “All Without My Permission”

JB has put out a disclaimer so…H&M had better stop sales to avoid this matter getting extreme.

On Monday, Dec. 19, the “Sorry” singer Justin Bieber, 28, took to his Instagram story to dispute ever approving the latest merch collections sold by H&M brand.

The brand recently began selling various merch collections comprising of Tote Bags, Tees, Sneakers, Hoodies, etc., that feature pictures of the “Baby” crooner splashed in from of the merch. Some of the sweater dresses also have lyrics referencing some of Justin’s songs inscribed on them.

The “Peaches” singer made it clear in his two separate Instagram posts that he did not approve of the merch collections sold by the brand. He specifically asked his 270 million followers not to buy it.

The first post read: “I didn’t aprove [sic] any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M .. all without my permission and approval,” Bieber wrote atop a blank orange screen. “SMH I WOULDN’T BUY IT IF I WERE YOU.”

While the second post read: “The H&M MERCH THEY MADE OF ME IS TRASH AND I DIDN’T APPROVE IT DONT BUY IT.”

When his followers saw the “Don’t buy it” warning from Justin, they immediately came after H&M, asking the brand to take the sales promotion down. Someone commented on the brand’s page, “Why you selling Justin’s stuff w/o his knowledge… that’s sketchy.”

Another said, “Using Justin’s face and brand without his permission? I hope you guys get sued by him and his team !”

In a statement released by a rep of H&M, the rep shared that the brand followed the protocols needed to get approved. “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures.”

With the seriousness of this case, Justin Bieber can decide to sue the H&M brand for selling unapproved merchandise with his face and music lyrics, after all, it’s not the first time Justin tried to sue someone.

Sometime last year, the “Ghost” singer served an artist that goes by the name Brian Whiteley papers after Brian claimed he was making an “erotic” artwork of Justin.

Brian said he received court documents from Justin’s attorney alleging that Brian took “direct infringement of our client’s intellectual property rights.”
