General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Brokers A Deal-A Deal For His Own Destruction?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will broker a deal with the Pikeman Security Group, the group Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) told him about. Valentin came to Sonny at their request as an intermediary to try and make a deal to work with the Corinthos don-but is it really a deal for Sonny’s own destruction?

General Hospital Spoilers – The Pikeman Security Group Is A Front

The Pikeman Security Group is a front, and it’s really Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) way of framing Sonny for something illegal to take him down. Valentin isn’t aware of the whole story but he was suspicious enough of their “representative” to tell Sonny to watch his back, and that they “wouldn’t be happy” if he declined. But Sonny isn’t entirely on his game, being distracted by the problem of The Hook and people he cares about possibly being targeted; he is investing lots in protection.

Michael has been planning this for a long time, starting with planting Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) as a potential enforcer, replacing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). But he’s meant to be more of an “inside man” reporting back to Michael about Sonny’s plans.

GH Spoilers – Dangerous Deals Being Made

There are dangerous deals being made as Sonny meets with the Pikeman Security Group’s representatives. But Sonny has dealt with mob families or pseudo mob families in the past, and he feels confident he can negotiate a deal that’s pleasing to both sides. Sonny doesn’t suspect Dex is a plant anymore and his intuition isn’t up to par with this bunch either, plus he’s been helping Valentin with safe houses.

He also helped with Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) prison bus escape so he’s been spread pretty thin recently, and he is extremely distracted. If Sonny were the man he was before his presumed death and amnesia, he’d have smelled a rat right away-and that’s what Michael’s counting on.

General Hospital Spoilers – It’s A Set Up, Can’t He See It?

Sonny’s got all his henchmen protecting his family and extended family, even one watching Josslyn  Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). There’s no one except Dex who’s looking out for Sonny and his loyalty is to Michael so he attends this meeting on his own. Sonny considered asking Selina Wu (Lydia Look) to attend but this group isn’t really a mob family although they kind of act like one.

Sonny brokers his dangerous deal with the Pikeman people and soon hands are shaken and contracts are signed. But is Sonny really brokering a deal for his own destruction?
