The video was filmed in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and it is the exact spot where the Queen’s coffin was it delicately lowerd to her final resting place. Thus Charles has successfully managed to merge the new with the old, tradition with the modernity he represents.
The broadcast airs at 3pm on Christmas Day and he is expected to include a poignant remembrance of his beloved mother.

But there is one key difference in Charles’ speech. Whereas Queen Elizabeth delivered her Christmas address while seated at Buckingham Palace, here 74-year-old Charles breaks with tradition. In his first speech has chosen to stand.
There is no doubt he will harken back to the reign of his mother, a modern touch has been incorporated. It comes in the form of a large Christmas tree situated in the background. In keeping with his sustainable roots, the tree is decorated with ornaments made from natural and sustainable materials such as pine cones.

The speech was filmed last week, just two days before Netflix’s “Harry & Meghan” docuseries concluded on Thursday.
Instead of ITV, the broadcast was produced by BBC Studios Events. This is the first in an agreement between BBC, ITV and Sky News to tape the annual event.
And now all there is to do but wait, as the King and Queen Consort Camilla, are ensconced at Sandringham where the rest of the family will gather to have a traditional royal Christmas.
This Christmas is sure to be festive as past Christmas gatherings were interrupted by covid. On Christmas morning the family walks to the nearby church of worship together where for one day at least, they can forget about all the trouble and strife in their little corner of the world.
