General Hospital Spoilers: Is Romance On The Rise For Ellie Trout And Griffin Munro?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson) and Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) might be the next hot new couple in Port Charles. That is if they both come back. Over the Christmas holiday, we saw Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) bring Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) to Portland, Oregon for a visit with Ellie.

Only after they left did we get an inside look into Ellie’s life — a rarity on GH. When Griffin rang Ellie late on Christmas Day, and she answered as though he was a special person in her life, we were left with the impression that they have found their way into one another’s lives and hearts since Griffin left Port Chuck and Spinelli left Ellie.

But is romance really on the rise for these lovebirds, or might this just be an in-road to bring one of them back to Port Charles?

General Hospital Spoilers — Ellie Trout Never Had A Place Here

Ellie has been a supporting role for the duration of her time on General Hospital. She’s never stolen the limelight, nor been anything more than the plus-one to Spinelli, whose life took a detour to Portland for a while when he wasn’t as relevant to the storyline. Fans are thrilled to see Spinelli thriving on his own without the crutch of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fueling his role. Instead, they want to see Spinelli come into his own and woo Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) all over again. Word on the street is, we will. As for Ellie, it looks like she’s still going to remain a supporting role to a more leading man.

GH Spoilers – Hint Griffin Left Much Unfinished Business

Griffin Munro left a lot of loose ends lying about Port Charles when he fled the city for a simpler life. In the wake of Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) murder, Griffin felt called to a higher purpose once again and decided to skip town and try to heal through the grieving process. We’ve seen him pop back into town once or twice since then, and it seems he and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) have left things on pretty good terms. Could that mean something for the future?
