General Hospital Spoilers: Nurses Ball To Return In April For 60th Anniversary

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that the Nurses’ Ball will return to the show coinciding with the show’s 60th anniversary on April 1. The Ball itself will play out on screen beginning April 3.

General Hospital Spoilers – Announcement Made January 10

The big announcement was made on Wednesday, January 10 at the Television Critics’ Association winter press tour in Pasadena, California. A panel was present, including Frank Valentini, Executive Producer, Genie Francis, Maurice Benard, Kristina Wagner, Rebecca Herbst, Donnell Turner, Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Alexander Chavez among others.

Genie has played Laura Webber Collins since 1977, and was definitely the veteran among the group. Maurice Benard came on as Sonny Corinthos in 1993, Kristina Wagner as Felicia Scorpio in 1984, and Rebecca Herbst as Elizabeth Baldwin in 1977, with the other three between 2015-2023.

GH Spoilers – The Nurses Ball

The Nurses’ Ball will begin during the week of April 3 and last for several days, debuting in June of 1994. It was founded as a charity gala dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness and co-chaired by Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Bobbie Jones (Jacklyn Zeman). It has been held fifteen times, but not since August of 2020 in recent years due to the Covid pandemic. All the important people of Port Charles usually show off their talents, and many of the General Hospital staff. The nurses will usually do a choreographed dance and song number along with doctors and other staff.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Returning Veteran And A Special Tribute

It was also announced that Jane Elliot will reprise her role of Tracy Quartermaine sometime in April, although the exact dates have not been announced as yet. In connection with that, a press teaser stated “icons of Port Charles unite to stop a legendary threat from the past”.  Sounds like there’s another presumed dead Cassadine to worry about for viewers! Also, prior to the Nurses’ Ball, at the end of March GH will air a special tribute episode to Sonya Eddy, who played Head Nurse Epiphany Johnson and passed away unexpectedly in December.
