General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny And Carly Battle Over Her Lies, But Whose Side is He Really On?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is about to drop a bombshell confession on her entire family. For months, she has allowed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to search high and low for Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth parents while she knew who her birth mother was the entire time — Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Not only has Carly placed Willow’s life in jeopardy by keeping that secret, but she played God with Willow and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) lives in general. Furthermore, Carly has once again attempted to rob Nina of the chance to have a relationship with her daughter — something that is all too parallel to her actions against Nina when she found out Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was her child. When Sonny confronts Carly about what she’s done, will Carly defend herself, or won’t she have to because Sonny so rarely holds her accountable?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Truth Paints An Ugly Picture

Coming clean with Nina isn’t going to be a moment Carly wants to remember about her life. She’s made a disaster out of one little secret because she kept it for the wrong reasons. Even if she felt emboldened by her reasons, they were never going to be right enough to withhold the truth from Willow about her own life and family.

Making that decision for her was wrong no matter the circumstance, and it’s going to be Carly’s failure to see that truth that will be her undoing in this process. She still wants to defend herself and make it sound like she had the best of intentions, but everyone will see through that and knows that Carly just didn’t want Nina in their lives.

GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny’s Loyalty Always Defaults To Carly Spencer

Nina won’t waste time running to Sonny with the truth about what Carly has done and that Willow is her daughter. Sonny is going to be furious with Carly, but it might not be for the same reason everyone else is.

Certainly, he won’t feel like it was Carly’s place to keep that secret, and he will absolutely agree that she probably had personal motivation in keeping it to herself because she hates Nina — so much so that her love for Willow wasn’t enough to trump her own selfish interests. Nonetheless, Sonny will be upset that Carly has put him in a position where he feels like he has to choose between her and Nina. Likewise, Nina won’t be happy with Sonny because it seems like he wants to cut Carly some slack and refrain from making that choice.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Is Tired Of Feeling Insecure

The ironic parallels won’t be lost on Carly as Nina grows angry with Sonny that he won’t just cut ties with Carly and blast her for what she’s done. That is exactly what Carly asked of Sonny when he returned from Nixon Falls and wouldn’t give up on Nina and admit she was the bad guy.

Nina has felt all alone in this world for some time now, especially since losing Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Faced with the opportunity to have her own family, she just might feel less drawn to hanging onto Sonny in hopes of sharing his now. If he isn’t willing to draw a hard line in the sand with Carly after what she’s done to Nina and Willow, Nina might tire of feeling like she’s always in second place with him and throw in the towel.
