General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Digs Her Own Grave As She Continues To Defend Her Secret-Keeping

General Hospital spoilers suggest Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) isn’t going to do herself any favors as she refuses to stop defending her poor choices. She might think it was difficult to tell Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) the truth, and it was certainly a bitter pill for her to swallow when she was forced to come clean with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about what she had done, but Carly has barely faced the consequences of her mistakes right now.

The real problem is…Carly doesn’t talk about her actions as though she thinks she made any mistakes. Given the chance to do it all over again, she would make the same choices. It appears she’s only upset over what everyone else did not do, versus what she did do, and that might not land well with her family — especially Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) won’t hold back when he hears what his conniving ex-wife had done this time. He may share a past with Carly, but as far as Sonny can tell right now, Nina is his future. Hearing that Carly tried to rob Nina of the future she is entitled to — knowing her only living daughter — isn’t going to sit well with the mob kingpin. No, Sonny isn’t about to put a hit out on the mother of his own daughter, but he won’t let Carly off easy either — for once!

GH Spoilers – Tease Michael Corinthos Might Retaliate

According to GH spoilers Sonny’s wrath isn’t all Carly will have to face and she knows it. Her biggest fear is that this revelation of truth could cost her the precious relationship she shares with her first born son, Michael. He hasn’t had time to process the details of this bombshell, or how he feels about it. As soon as Drew told him the truth, Michael rushed to Willow’s side hoping she would wake up so he could tell her what had transpired. There will be time to deal with his mother later, and he most certainly will. Given how hard Michael took his father’s betrayal when he returned from Nixon Falls, will learning that his mom almost cost his wife her life cause Michael to turn on Carly in a similar manner? Is Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) going to be up for that job?

If it wasn’t bad enough that Carly hid the truth about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) from NIna, stealing away any chance the Crimson Editor-in-Chief may have had at having a mother-daughter relationship, she has now tried to do the very same thing again with Willow. To make matters worse, Carly still doesn’t seem to grasp the gravity of her decision. Sure, things wouldn’t have gone south like this had Willow not been battling a terminal illness.

But Michael’s point will still stand when he asserts that it’s ironic Carly feels she’s entitled to know that information about Willow, but she doesn’t think Willow is entitled to know who her own mother is, or that Nina is entitled to know who her daughter is. As Carly continues to defend the alleged reasons she kept the secret and lied about it in the first place, she’ll only dig herself into a deeper hole.
