General Hospital Spoilers: Trina Supports Spencer’s Efforts, But Questions His Intentions: Is This About Revenge?

General Hospital Spoilers hint Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has been grateful for the time she and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) have been spending together. Getting to know one another again and giving Spencer a chance to redeem himself in her eyes has proved fruitful as she continues to fall in love with him.

However, his latest move is going to throw her for a loop. She might admire Spencer’s courage and maturity in taking steps to prepare himself to raise a child, and she may even understand why he would question his father’s ability to be a good dad to Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) baby.

However, Trina is going to have a hard time shaking the feeling that Spencer’s intentions are not purely about the baby’s well-being, and her mother’s concerns won’t help her life to herself.

General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine, As Esme Price’s Baby Daddy

Spencer isn’t intending to claim he is Esme’s baby’s biological father. Sure, he let Esme think it’s possible that he could be, but that was before he met with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and got a dose of reality handed to him.

Diane made it quite clear that Spencer should not have designs on faking a DNA test because Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) can bring his own team in and his own test that would refute any false positive on Spencer’s end. Thus, that plan was dashed before it ever had a chance of taking off. Spencer hasn’t let that stop him though. He’s committed to seeing this through even if he just wants to raise his half-sibling as a big brother.

GH Spoilers – Tease Trina Wants To Be Supportive

Trina really does want to be supportive of Spencer’s goals. This is a big step for him, and coupling up with him would make it an equally big step for her. She can overlook the baby being the child of Esme — someone she hates more than anything — but she doubts Spencer’s plan is really about the baby’s wellbeing.

If this was about the child’s best interests, Spencer might be lobbying for adoption or having someone more equipped to raise a child step up to the plate. Trina can’t shake the feeling that Spencer’s plan is all about himself and his desire for payback. Trina wants revenge too, but not if an innocent child has to pay the price. She’s going to start waffling now on whether or not she can really support this scheme, and Spencer won’t know what to think of it.

General Hospital Spoilers — Portia Robinson Fuels Trina Robinson’s Doubt

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will only compound Trina’s concerns, of course. Portia already doesn’t like the idea of Trina giving Spencer another chance and letting him back into her life. She doesn’t think he’s good enough to be her daughter’s friend, much less anything more than that.

When she gets wind that he’s planning to sue his own father for custody of his half-sibling born to his ex-girlfriend via his father’s affair with her, Portia will remind Trina that this is just the kind of drama Cassadine men are always involved in and no one entangled with them fares well. Trina can’t deny that, but she can’t deny her feelings for Spencer, either. How will she move through this legal battle if she doesn’t really believe Spencer is doing it for the right reasons?
