When Portia and Stella reconnect, they might discuss Stella’s adventures online tracing her family tree, or they could even discuss Stella’s efforts to conceal that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) chose to abandon his family and did not die. Either way, it looks like Portia is wondering whether Stella regrets having lied to Curtis, and it’s going to give Stella the distinct impression that Portia might be doing the same thing.
